Vietnam Pathfinder Adventure Travel is operated biking/cycling/ trekking adventure trips in most parts of Vietnam from Mekong flat delta to the high mountain of Sapa, North West or North East , we are divided our difficult level of biking adventure trip into 5levels and please select the best one that fit you
(1) Relaxed: Adventure travel at its most relaxed pace.
Activity: 1-3 hours most days
Distances: walk less than 6km most days
Surfaces: flat terrain
Elevation change: little to none
Altitude: less than 1000meters
(2) Easy Active: Great for newcomers to active travel.
Activity: 2-5 hours most days
Distances: Hike up to 8km, cycle 20-50 km most days
Surfaces: flat or rolling terrain with some possible steeps
Elevation change: up to 1000meters/day
Altitude: up to 2,500 meters ( The Mountain of Sapa is up to 3143 meters high)
(3) Moderate: For outdoor novices and above.
Activity: 4-6 hours most days
Distances: Hike up to 15km most days, cycle 30-70 km most days
Surfaces: rolling or mountainous terrain with some steep ascents/descents and uneven trails
Elevation change: up to 1,000/day
Altitude: up to 3,000 meter ( The Mountain of Sapa is up to 3143 meters high)
(4) Vigorous: Recommended for fit travelers with basic skills.
Activity: 5-8 hours most days
Distances: Hike up to 20 km most days, cycle 50-80 Km most days
Surfaces: mountainous, exposed terrain with steep ascents/descents and uneven trails
Elevation change: up to 1000 meters/day
Altitude: up to 3000 meters. (The Mountain of Sapa is up to 3143 meters high)
(5) Strenuous: Designed for very fit travelers.
Activity: 10+ hours/day
Distances: Hike 20 or more km most days, cycle 100 or more km most days
Surfaces: remote mountainous, exposed terrain with steep ascents/descents, uneven trails with loose features.
Elevation change: up to 2,000 meters/day
Altitude: may well exceed 3000 meters (The Mountain of Sapa is up to 3143 meters high)
Note: The terrain in Vietnam can be hilly so a regular conditioning program beginning at least two months prior to departure is strongly recommended. Cycling, walking/running and a daily stretching regimen are all great ways to prepare for this adventure. Some of the most important qualifications for any trip without standard tourist facilities are a spirit of adventure and a positive attitude. |
