Tam dao Luxury Golf Courses
 Tam Dao Golf and Resort, an 18 hole championship golf course and resort, located in the mountain resort area of Tam Dao, 70 kilometers from Hanoi and opening in October 2005. As per the masterplan the resort will feature the championship golf course designed by IMG, family facilities such as a swimming pool, tennis courts, massage facilities, hairdresser and full conference facilities and acommodation.

The decision is vital and in the tee shot, a split fairway over a large lake with a collection of well positioned bunkers awaits..... The player must hit the fairway with the tee shot, leaving only a short iron approach to a tricky green. Bunkers must have been on the mind of the golf course designer for this hole!

Back to the club house with a tough Par 4. This dead-straight hole plays longer than the yardage suggests, with the OOBDriving Range to the right of the cart path, and the meandering stream to the left, requiring the golfer to hit 2 consistently straight shots.

White tee: 476 yards
Red tee: 445 yards

A Par 5, not too difficult on paper but regularly causes a series of problems for the golfer. The tee shot must be straight otherwise trees on either side of the fairway will block your second shot. Trees just short & left of the green also guard your approach shot, to a green easy to miss for the best of players. Statistically very few birdies are recorded on this hole even though it’s a Par 5!

A ‘smashing’ short dog right leg Par 4. The strong player has no requirement for the driver from this tee, as a stream runs directly in-front of this very small green, & as the down-sloping approach fairway will leave it difficult for the player to view the pin. Pro’s Tip is to lay-up, and leave a 90-100 yard wedge to this green for a controlled shot. A birdie can then be achieved.

Blub tee: 190 yards
White tee: 136 yards

The start of Tam Dao’s ‘Amen Corner’ & the ‘toughest Par 3 on the course for sure! Slightly up hill to an elongated green surrounded by bunkers, slopes & borrows. Not the longest Par 3 on the course, but a hole that the average golfer would be delighted to secure a Par and Run….
