Celebrity chefs to show skills in Ho Chi Minh City

 

Celebrity chefs will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City to show off their cooking skill at a special four-day Masters of Food&Wine Sai Gon event at Park Hyatt Sai Gon on September 3, 2008.

 
The five chefs include Kiyoni Mikuni, Japan’s leading French chef from Hotel de Mikuni, Tokyo, Greg Doyle and Grant King from Pier Restaurant, at the top of Sydney’s dining list for the past 15 years, Ron Blaauw from Palazzo, Amsterdam and Gottfried Schuetzenberger of Grant Hyatt Singapore, who took his third Pastry Chef of the Year title at the Wold Gourment Summit Awards of Excellence 2008.

These masters will share their kills and pair international techniques and local food products to create a series of fresh and exciting cuisine which will be complimented with a selection of prestigious wines to be on display during the festive days.

The Masters of Food and Wine Sai Gon will include intimate gourmet dinners featuring guest chef’s creations, a food and wine affair, wine tasting and wine workshops by 13 leading winemakers from all continents, Exciting cooking sessions with cooking class menus designed by each chef from September 3 to 7 will also be featured.

The Grant of Food and Wine Gala Dinner, which features a six-course set menu and wine exclusively designed by each chef, is the highlight of the event which will start at 6.30pm on September 6, 2008 at the hotel’s Ballroom.
