DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: DONGKALOR - STUNG TRENG - KRATIE (By road)

On arrival at Dongkalor border point, you are met and transferred to Stung Treng by private car and English speaking guide. This is a real outpost town on the banks of the San River just off the Mekong. The tranquility in the region shows us an authentic and remote “face” of Cambodia. There is not many things to see in this town apart from the country side. We will arrive in Kratie after 5 hours drives. Check in at hotel for the night in Kratie

DAY 2: KRATIE TOURS

Spend your full day in a small colonial town along Mekong River, a lovely riverside town. The pace is very relaxed, a perfect way to observe the rural life close up. We transfer out to explore a complex of temple, containing Phnom Sambok and Kampi, which boast the major sights in this region. A view over the surrounding area from the temple is impressive. The next stop of our trip is Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros. A part of the pleasure of travelling in Kratie is the simple joy of catching a glimpse of the endangered Irrawaddy Dolphin and seeing the dramatic sunset over the river. O/N in Kratie. He never stopped painting even a moment during that time. He painted to live, he likes the flowing, shining of oil paint. In the “very Pham Luc” colour world, the painting lovers can easily find their common interests and general expression: cold silver, warm brown. He painted without tiredness by his intuition as if he wanted to come to everyone immediately. Therefore in exhibitions, galleries and his house at 30 Nghi Tam are always crowded with friends and painting lovers.

More than 250 Danish and Vietnamese artists are taking part in a programme to welcome Danish Queen’s visit to Vietnam in early November, according to the Danish Embassy.

Danish Ambassador in Vietnam Peter Lysholt Hansen said this is the biggest cultural event to be held during a Danish State’s visit to another country.

The programme, comprising 11 cultural activities, has begun on October 28 and last until November 20 in Hanoi, the central city of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

It will see the attendance of the Danish Queen Margrethe, accompanied by the Danish Crown Prince and Princes and Ministers of Culture and the Environment.

The highlight of the programme will be a road show that will be held on November 3 at the Ly Thai To Garden.

The show will feature a cocktail of performances of contemporary and traditional dance and music. It will be joined by hip hop dance troop Danish Uppercut, The Blue Van Band, the Batida troupe, and the Copenhagen trio.

According to the Danish Embassy, the programme is aimed at exchanging artistic activities and experiences between the two countries’ artists and promoting artists’ interaction with the audience.
