Ninh Thuan: la population Cham se réjouit de la fête de Ramuvan

La fête de Ramuvan des Cham a débuté vendredi, dans la province de Ninh Thuân (Centre). Il s’agit de la plus importante fête des Cham pratiquant le rite musulman de Ninh Thuan.

La fête de Ramuvan des Cham se décompose en 3 parties que sont la cérémonie de visite et de nettoyage des tombeaux des ancêtres, leur culte puis celle de jeûne dans les mosquées.

La première, qui marque le commencement du mois de Ramuvan, attire la participation de tous les membres des familles Cham. Les offrandes sont simples : gâteaux, thé, alcool, oeufs. Concernant la deuxième cérémonie, chaque famille Cham rend le culte aux ancêtres avec des offrandes différentes.

Enfin, après 3 jours de fête, les Cham commencent le jeûne. Le dernier jour du mois de Ramuvan est solennellement célébré dans une église. Si Katê est la plus importante fête de l’année des Cham Ahiêr, Ramuvan est la plus importante des Cham Bàni. À la différence du Ramadan de la communauté des musulmans islamiques, la fête de Ramuvan des Cham est un mélange de liturgie traditionnelle et activités culturelles et sportives.

Le Centre d’échanges culturels sur les estampes de Dông Hô a été inauguré fin juillet dans la province de Bac Ninh (Nord). On peut y admirer d’anciennes planches xylographiques en bois, des collections d’images populaires et découvrir les étapes de production de ces estampes traditionnelles du village de Dông Hô. Le fondateur de cet édifice est l’artisan septuagénaire Nguyên Dang Chê.

Le village de Dông Hô (district de Thuân Thành, province de Bac Ninh, Nord), réputé pour la fabrication des images populaires portant son nom, a connu un événement sans précédent : l’ouverture en fin juillet du Centre d’échanges culturels sur les estampes de Dông Hô. Le fondateur de cet édifice, c’est l’artisan septuagénaire Nguyên Dang Chê, un des 3 villageois gardiens de la tradition des estampes.

S’étendant sur 5.500 m2, le Centre d’échanges culturels du village de Dông Hô comprend 3 maisons au toit de tuiles, ayant chacune sa fonction. L’estime de la commuanuté internationale de l’art pour à l’égard des artistes et des oeuvres d’art au Vietnam est la raison pour laquelle Hanoi a été choisie comme première destination d’organisation de l’exposition artistique de Malaisie intitulée "Transition", qui s’est ouverte mercredi.

C’est ce qu’a déclaré Mme Shireen Nariree, experte chargée de cette exposition, lors de la cérémonie inaugurale de cet événement, estimant également que l’art du Vietnam et de la Malaisie présentent des points communs. Cette manifestation qui durera jusqu’au 30 septembre, contribuera à resserrer les échanges culturels entre les deux pays, a-t-elle souligné.

Cette exposition placée sous l’égide de l’ambassade de Malaisie au Vietnam, présente des oeuvres sur l’environnement social contemporain et ses relations avec les membres de l’ASEAN (Association des nations de l’Asie du Sud-Est) durant le processus de développement.

Après le Vietnam, ces oeuvres artistiques seront exposées aux Philippines, en Indonésie, à Singapour, en Thaïlande et en Malaisie.

The authorities of central Thua Thien-Hue Province and Japan’s Shizuoka City have met in Hue City to discuss a plan to open flights connecting the two cities.

They hope to conduct the first flight from Hue City’s Phu Bai International Airport to Shizuoka City on the occasion of the inauguration of Shizuoka’s Fujisan (Fuji Mountain) International Airport in early March 2009.

Regular flights connecting two cities are expected to attract more Japanese tourists to Hue City and vice versa, as well as facilitate the travel of overseas Vietnamese students and the two countries’ businessmen.

The cooperation in opening the new air route is part of the two cities’ cooperation programme signed in April 2005, which has been also extended to various fields, particularly urban and environmental management, and cultural exchange.

A South African film festival opened in Hanoi on August 25, 2008.

The festival, co-organised by the South African Embassy in Vietnam in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aims to boost friendship and cultural exchange between the two nations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, South African Ambassador Super Ratubatsi Moloi said Vietnamese people will have a chance to learn more about the land and people of South Africa through the four-day festival.

Five movies of South Africa will be screened with Vietnamese voice-over and English subtitles free of charge to Vietnamese audiences

Binh Dinh: Camping festival marks National Day

A camping festival was held in southern Binh Dinh province’s Tay Son district from August 30-31, 2008 on the occasion of the National Day (Sept. 2).

The event, aiming to commend charitable examples in 2008, was organised by Binh Dinh’s Red Cross organisation, Educational and Training Department and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Twelve representatives from the office of the Norwegian Red Cross in Vietnam , and Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang and Vinh Phuc provinces joined 150 representatives of Binh Dinh’s 26,000 volunteers of the Vietnam Red Cross in the camping festival.

The festival, themed “Joining efforts for humanity”, included a series of activities, such as the commendation of 22 examples in the 2007-2008 humanitarian movement, a performance of Tay Son martial arts music, a camping contest, the blood donation and traditional games.

The festival is part of the Norwegian Red Cross’s aid project for Binh Dinh, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang and Vinh Phuc provinces.

Hanoi to host conference on tourism promotion

Hanoi will host the 7 th annual conference of the Council for Promotion of Tourism in Asia (CPTA) which is scheduled to last from October 5-10, 2008.

The conference, part of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 (ANMC 21), is held in rotation in member cities of Hanoi, Bangkok, New Delhi, Taipei, Seoul, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo.

During the six-day conference, participants will review the work set at the previous conference and adopt an action plan for new projects, propose solutions to develop tourism in member cities as well as organise promotional and advertising activities to attract tourists to Asian cities including Hanoi.

The conference will also boost cooperation among member cities and advertise their tourism potentials and services.

The Hanoi People’s Committee is guiding relevant authorities to prepare for the conference.
